Cruise3sixty is the official travel agent cruise conference of the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA). The world’s largest cruise industry trade association, CLIA represents cruise lines and cruise-sellers. It serves a prominent role in travel agent training, education and certification. And, to the public, it's an advocate for cruise travel vacations.
Each year, Cruise3sixty features a program of speakers, workshops, agent training and ship inspections. It also provides a high-profile networking opportunity for cruise lines and cruise travel sellers.
The 2014 event will take place April 2-6, 2014 at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL. It's the tenth anniversary of the conference.
To mark the anniversary, CLIA is introducing ten new educational training programs. They’re part of a newly-updated CLIA education curriculum, reformulated in response to agent feedback.
Highlights of the 2014 cruise3sixty program include a presentation by the noted tourism and hospitality expert Catherine Heeg. She’ll present two one-hour workshops on social media best practices for the travel seller:
- “Facebook 2014 –What You Need to Know Now” will discuss how to grow fan bases on the network.
- “Get Your Geek On! – Emerging and Evolving Social Media You Need to Know About” will provide an overview of today’s social media platforms and essential tools for using them. Topics include blogs, video applications and microsites. The course will also explore the use of Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Google+ in the travel and tourism arena.
Cruise3sixty attendees will also be able to earn CLIA certification credits through ship inspections. At least 25 ships will be available, the largest number of any prior year.
CLIA members and non-members can register here.
